About the Conference
The annual New England Study Abroad Returnee Conference provides an array of information to college and university students who have recently returned from a study abroad experience. Developed by a committee of volunteers in the study abroad field, the conference will offer sessions in adjusting to re-entry, becoming an advocate for study abroad, marketing your international experience, exploring careers in international fields, and finding opportunities to go abroad again.
Getting to Emmanuel College:
The conference will be held mostly in the Administration Building. Registration will take place on the 1st floor near the Wilkens Science Center entrance. Look for signage around campus and NERC volunteers wearing red if you get lost. A map of Emmanuel College can be found here. Directions from all points, including public transportation can be found here.
You’ll need to check in at the security booth upon arrival at 400 The Fenway and they will direct you to the parking area. Parking is free of charge. Tell the security officer that you’re here for the conference and they’ll be able to direct you to the appropriate parking area.
Have your resume critiqued by local career and international education professionals. It is strongly recommended that you bring several copies of your current resume for critique during the lunch session.
This conference is a great way to:
- Learn about international opportunities throughout New England
- Share stories with others that have similar interests & experiences
- Internationalize your resume and interviewing skills
- Discover how to study/teach/live/work abroad again
