Please Vote For Your Favorite Photos

All the photos for the 2012 contest have been posted! Please go to our facebook page, open the 2012 Photo Contest album, and vote for your favorites by “liking” them. The semi-finalists, determined by the number of “likes” will be put on display at the Regional Re-Entry Conference on Saturday, September 22nd at Stonehill College. There, the re-entry conference participants will be able to place a final vote to decide on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Free shuttle from Quincy Adams T Stop

Yes, the conference will be at Stonehill College this year. And yes, that’s not in downtown Boston. Don’t fret though! There will be a free shuttle for students to get back and forth from the conference!! The shuttle will pick up at Quincy Adams T-stop at 9:30am and bring everyone to Stonehill College, and then after the conference at 4:30 it will pick up at Stonehill College bring everyone back to Quincy Adams T-stop.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us!

Call for Proposals!

Attention International Scholars!

We are now calling for proposals for the NAFSA/BASAA Re-Entry Conference being held on September 22, 2012 at Stonehill College.

We are specifically looking for proposals that will embrace helping students with re-entry, and what they can do now that they have returned from abroad. Topics can include:

-How to market yourself in a job interview

-Graduate school opportunities

-Volunteering and/or working abroad (both short and long-term)

-How to help others traveling abroad

-And more!

To submit a proposal, please email the following to nereentryconference@gmail.com:

-Names and titles of intended presenters (please keep it between 3-4 presenters)

-Tentative title of your session

-A one paragraph description of your session

-Brief bio of each of the presenters

Please keep in mind that these sessions are going to be 45 minutes in length and that your audience will be students who have recently returned from a study abroad program.  Proposals are due by August 10, 2012 so that we can be in touch the following week to let you know if you will be presenting.

Plenary Speaker Announced!

We are very pleased to announce our plenary speaker for the annual NAFSA/BASAA Region XI 2012 Re-Entry Conference, Kate Otto.

Kate is a public health consultant by profession and is currently writing “Everyday Ambassador,” a book about the impact of technology on human relationships, in pursuit of a better world.  For more information on Kate and her writing, please visit the following links:
